Excel 2016 DATEDIF Function Issues - Microsoft Community

my datedif function returning date opposed number of days in between specified dates.

here's function:   =datedif(b5,c5,"d")

and here's function returning (b5 , c5 first 2 cells, respectively. third cell output of above function):

6/4/2018

6/6/2018

1/2/1900

the function should returning thenumber two, not date. i've tried reformatting date "style" of cells no avail. 

here's full grid. maybe more examples show what's going on here! in advance help.

mitchell, change format of cell numeric shows value integer rather date.
