I can't download ANYTHING. - Microsoft Community

i bought thinkpad x230 windows 10 , microsoft edge. tried download dev c++ , message "couldn't downloaded" tried download chrome , got same message. when clicked retry, thought had worked when clicked on file said "how open file?" please help.

i having same problem since updating windows fall creators edition.     if open in ie, downloads work fine.  edge used work prior new update.  choices of open, save or cancel.  no choice allows file download. 
looks file saved never happens.  open in ie , fine.

further check issue, please provide screenshot of advance settings of microsoft edge. so, click 3 dots in upper-right > click settings > click view advance settings.
