Excel cell dimensions changed after update - Microsoft Community

updated excel version 15.40 (using high sierra on mac), , of cell dimensions in saved worksheets have changed. example, 1 worksheet set on .25" x 25" grid, , merge cells needed total cell size required each space. since update, sheet looks same, column width size 2.17" , row height 18". sheet looks same before, down square cell shape (not rectangular cell dimensions lead believe). ruler shows correct page width of 8 1/2", when add columns together, equals 31.27". sheet dimension units set inches. thoughts?

likely you had ruler measurement set "cm" (metric) set inches (in).
