i using ie11 browse internet on laptop running windows 7 home premium 64-bit , notice there 2 versions on machine.

there 1 in c>programs , in c>programs (x86) assume 64-bit , 32-bit versions respectively.

which 1 should use?  they, in fact, both same?

on 64-bit system, 64-bit internet explorer default. website may require 32-bit ie add-on compatibility, so a 32-bit process will open tab.

if create shortcut ie, should create shortcut 64-bit version.

also...

in order have the 64-bit manager process open (as should)...

internet options> security, verify protected mode enabled

and

internet options> advanced, check "enable enhanced protected mode."
