Microsoft Edge will not open - Microsoft Community

since newest big update windows 10 on 3rd september 2017, have not been able open , use microsoft edge.  it opens window within 20 seconds or so, closes again.

i've tried opening start menu, , task bar, have pinned.  not being computer literate person in world, i'm stuck.

can please?

there different factors can contribute why after update microsoft edge not allowing launch , use application. caused missing update components or system files got corrupted. resolve concern, kindly answer questions below:

  • since mentioned microsoft edge closes after 20 seconds when attempted launch application, confirm if there error message showed up?
  • were there other recent changes made on computer aside recent update installed?
  • were there other applications affected installed update , not responding properly?
  • which version , build of windows 10 have installed on computer?
