hi, pc got virus , want re-install windows freshly formated hd.

my question : way can save web credentials web pages?

most website passwords not in credential manager 2 part process.

1. start/cortana, search for, find , open control panel. set view [small icons} go user accounts> account> manage credentials. select backup vault , save credentials flash drive, usb hd, cd, etc.

2. import other website passwords chrome. won't able import these back into windows or internet explorer, have them saved , can view them and re-enter websites when necessary.

if don't have chrome installed, install it.

in chrome click 3 dots in upper right> bookmarks> import bookmarks , settings>  etc.

after importing passwords, favorites, etc. chrome go 3 dots in upper right> settings> (at bottom) show advanced settings> passwords , forms> manage passwords.

click 3 dots beside each line of login data> details> click eye see password. slow, perhaps, there aren't alternatives.
