 i have several computers running windows 10 pro. on lenovo laptop able set ie 11 default browser without issue. on lenovo tiny followed same procedure set ie 11 default browser edge still on powers ie 11 , popups every time open internet. since can't uninstall edge how can prevent popping anyway or permanently  disable it? don't like edge , don't want it. so other falling previous version of windows have other options?

this issue may occur due possible system conflict. need ask few questions better assist. please answer following information:

  • have tried settings, system, default apps , web browser troubleshooting steps?
  • what other troubleshooting steps you've tried far?

in meantime, suggest run a system file checker scan , repair possible corrupted system file.
