Excel files do not open when double clicked - Microsoft Community

i using office 365 on windows 10. excel files not open when double click them. following error message: "unable launch language file en". 

i able open file using file , open , browse file. other office products working fine; problem excel.

i have tried quick repair , online repair neither have solved problem.

please advise how correct problem.

there different reasons why excel not responding when you're double-clicking it. it's possible caused add-in or antivirus conflicting excel. resolve issue, proceed in performing steps indicated on support article. follow troubleshooting options in order presented. if have tried 1 of steps , not help, proceed next step.

please feel free post result of troubleshooting procedure assist further.
