Excel 2016 freezes when scrolling through a list of entries/data - Microsoft Community

hello, work in large logistics company, , use microsoft exchange , microsoft office 365 on front end.

i have user trying go through data in excel sheet text, approximately 3900 lines 7 or columns of short text per row. when tries scroll or down in sheet, excel freezes, , crashes , closes after becoming unresponsive.

what cause this? have tried disabling hardware graphics acceleration following 2 suggestions below made people having similar issues excel 2013:

option 1:

1) open following path. 
2) c: -> program files -> microsoft  -> office 15 -> root -> office15
3) osf.dll , rename osf.dll.old 
4) close application. 
5) restart application. 

option 2:

click on file tab, , click options.
click trust center , trust center settings.
click trusted app catalogs, , click clear button.

however, none of these things have helped resolve problem. after running office repair, , re-starting office applications, including outlook , skype business. makes sheet slow , difficult work with.

while writing this, noticed 1 of our users got moved exchange server/database, office 365 (this seen under "mailbox type" in exchange admin center). have been having number of problems users testing got converted on office 365, versus exchange, , breaking things delegate access other accounts, calendars, , mailboxes (as users on office 365 can't found re-add). causing slowness in things outlook. thinking effecting excel, because unheard of issue kind of spreadsheet, work quarterly.

any ideas or thoughts?

p.s.: additional note, may related our company wide upgrade windows 7 windows 10 cause of problem.

the migration should not related cause of kind of client issue.

to check if caused third-party, please hold ctrl open excel see result.

if issue persists, narrow down issue, please provide information below:

1. when did issue happen? can edit workbook fine before? there changed?
2. does issue happen specific workbook or workbooks?
3. does workbook have vba?
4. what’s office version? please go file>account>product information check it. example: 1708(8431.2031)
5. what’s os version? 1709?
6. can workbook edit fine on other computers?
