Microsoft Edge Save As does not work, cannot download files - Microsoft Community

hi

after clicking download link. e.g. download photo facebook., choose "save as", select save.

nothing happens. not save photo.

i have subscribed web site allows me download photoshop template files. these zipped.  click download button, select save as....  then... nothing happens.

i have open microsoft explorer before can download files these sites.

if close microsoft edge completely, message saying edge still downloading... can hour later. (i have 75mb/s connection)

am using windows 10 latest updates installed.

i use norton antivirus.

any suggestions appreciated.

try resetting microsoft edge.

try resetting microsoft edge:

open start, type: powershell
right click powershell click run administrator

@ prompt, type:

get-appxpackage -allusers -name microsoft.microsoftedge | foreach {add-appxpackage -disabledevelopmentmode -register “$($_.installlocation)\appxmanifest.xml” -verbose}

hit enter

when complete, exit powershell, restart computer check if edge working again.

if running windows 10 1709, can use repair function:

open start > settings > update & security > troubleshoot
scroll down
click network adapters
click run troubleshooter

when complete, restart see if problem resolved.

if not, press windows key + x
click device manager
expand network adapters

right click adapter
click uninstall

exit device manager, restart. windows 10 should detect network adapter reinstall it.

try downloading again.
