OneNote 15.38 will not sync one section plus flashing pop ups - Microsoft Community

i cannot sync 1 section of onenote notebook @ all. have 15.38 (170902) office 2016 mac. reports 1 section not sync error 0xe0000007. tried copy section notebook not allow me without sync onenote not allow. see multiple pop-up windows asking me please wait patches of blacked out area in various parts of screen perhaps changes need synced.

i confirmed other sections of notebook sync , see changes on ios. have tried quitting onenote and/or restarting mac no avail. how fix 1 section of notebook sync?

you onenote sync issue below when syncing notebooks stored in personal onedrive, after updating onenote version 15.37 15.38

note before proceeding: community member has suggested error may false positive. means though onenote displays error,  your notes still being synced through cloud. you're welcome check making changes through onenote on mac , logging into onenote online and confirming if changes synced.

if onenote syncing, suggest monitoring thread updates. proceed workaround  if absolutely not want see sync error.

go the update history office 2016 mac page via following url: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/update-history-for-office-2016-for-mac-700cab62-0d67-4f23-947b-3686cb1a8eb7 -> scroll down , 15.37 , find link onenote ->  go applications folder , move microsoft onenote 2016 version 15.38 trash , emptied trash. install 15.37 version , keep rest of office 2016 apps @ 15.38 version.
