Updates to Windows forum topics - Microsoft Community

hello community,

today, windows 10 fall creators update started roll out , have made updates windows forum topics ensure users have place ask questions , engage in discussion new features.   

the changes follows:

1. windows 10

a. platform filter removed. no longer appear in “ask question” or “browse” mode user.

with growth of windows 10 (desktop), active devices , comparatively small number of windows 10 mobile active devices , convergence of feature sets between two, there no longer value in tracking threads related pc vs. phone. if in small number of situations platform information might needed, can found in body of initial question or in subsequent posts.

b. new topic - mixed reality. windows mixed reality new feature in windows 10 fall creators update provides customers ability experience virtual reality environments, apps , games on windows 10. 

mixed reality topic have following subtopics:

- install , update

- getting started

- device issues

- app or game issues

c. new subtopics under desktop, start & personalization

- desktop

- action center

- task bar

- system tray

- themes

- screen saver

- touch keyboard

- people - new feature provides customers ability pin favorite contacts taskbar additional experiences , actions.

- start menu

- general

d. store topic renamed to microsoft store.

2. apps on windows 10

a. there 3 new apps listed windows version apps on windows 10

- print 3d

- scan 3d

- 3d builder

with following subtopics:

- install , update

- known issues

b. under remix 3d new subtopics added:

- getting started

- announcements, news & events

- remix support & feedback
