Updating Phone Problems - Microsoft Community

my husband has lumia phone , has had trouble updating app through play store. brings microsoft sign in page type in password, followed hitting save button. instead of logging in , continuing update, brings same log in page. 

we've tried turning off phone no avail when turning on. 

ideas?  thank in advance.
