How to recover Lumia 925? - Microsoft Community

hi everyone,

i need recover lumia 925 phone, please.

it appears totally dead - nothing on screen, cold touch, no response buttons, therefore can't reset it.

update 1: phone detected qhsusb_armprg. how recover this?

 

after searching on these forums found many references thor2. used --help on tool , used emergency mode try , flash using hex , mbn files match product code. got hex , mbn files microsoft sites.

 

unfortunately didn't succeed, kept failing error code 8 after trying open_multi_req , thor2 exited error code 85021, similar this person.

 

i tried several times. after each failure error code 85021 thor2 unable use dload mode , exit error 85030, similar this person. attempt flash had hold down phone power button 10-15 seconds, after windows light lit , qhsusb_dload device disappeared , reappeared again in device manager.

 

sometimes thor2 crash. started happen changed using usb port. device appeared qhsusb_armprg. tried more emergency mode flashing got same errors when recognised qhsusb_dload. difference takes ~20 seconds of holding power button down windows logo light up, has changed somewhere.

 

so, qhsusb_armprg better or worse qhsusb_dload? should next steps be?

i tried windows device recovery tool doesn't recognise phone, doesn't list lumia 925 , tells me device cannot recovered. when connected computer phone shown qhsusb_dload, "care suite emergency connectivity", driver dated 12/6/2015.

the lumia troubleshooting , repair page says use wdrt. wdrt faq page says "it works on acer, alcatel, blu, htc (one m8 , 8x), lg, lumia, neo, unistrong, vaio , yezz phones running windows phone 8 or later. it works on hp devices." release notes appear during installation doesn't mention removing support older lumia devices. release notes version 3.0.1, in notes 3.11, "- windows phone recovery tool being renamed "windows device recovery tool" , support recovery windows phones 8, 8.1, , 10". lumia troubleshooting , repair page says use b2x pages more help, , b2x lumia troubleshooting , repair page says use wdrt. therefore, wdrt should support lumia 925.

here's happened:

yesterday lumia 925 froze. wouldn't respond button presses did soft reset (vol- , power) , left few minutes. when came asked sim pin, put in, froze again. after left while , still frozen did soft reset , left it. again, came later, put in sim pin, sim time said sim error, , froze. removed sim, did soft reset , left again. said sim error, did same again. next time when came (after 2 hours) totally dead, described above.

so, microsoft, please tell me how use wdrt recover phone, because must possible.
